ShippApp · Version 2 · Effective October 9, 2026
Driver Agreement
In plain English
- You drive for your carrier, not ShippApp. Your carrier pays you and sets your hours. ShippApp never pays drivers.
- Location: your phone shares its location from when you accept a job until it's delivered. Your carrier and the shipper can see it during the job.
- Be honest in the app: mark stops only when you're there, take real photos, get a real proof of delivery.
- Customers stay with ShippApp: don't take shippers or receivers you meet on jobs as your own customers or to another company — while you use ShippApp and for 24 months after.
- Keep it private: customer names, addresses, gate codes and rates are confidential.
This summary is for convenience; the full text below is what applies.
When you sign, you confirm each of these separately
- I understand I work for my carrier, not ShippApp, and my carrier — not ShippApp — pays me.
- I agree my phone shares its location from when I accept a job until it is delivered, and my carrier and the shipper can see it during the job.
- I will not take any shipper or receiver I meet on a ShippApp job as my own customer or to another company, for 24 months after my last job.
1. This agreement
This Driver Agreement is between ShippApp LLC ("ShippApp") and you, a driver using ShippApp for a carrier ("your carrier"). It adds to the ShippApp Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which also apply.
2. Who you work for
You are employed by or contract with your carrier, not ShippApp. ShippApp does not employ you, pay you, set your pay or hours, or supervise how you drive. Your carrier is responsible for your pay, taxes, insurance, licensing, hours of service and safety compliance. Any pay shown in the app is set by your carrier. If you have a question about pay, ask your carrier.
3. Location sharing
- When you accept a job, your phone shares its location until the job is finished (and, if your carrier lets you use the load board, while you are on duty). Your carrier, the shipper on that load and ShippApp can see it during the job.
- It is used to show where the load is, confirm you are at a stop, keep everyone safe and settle disputes. It is not used to judge you on behalf of your carrier, and ShippApp does not sell it.
- You can turn location off in your phone settings, but then you can't run jobs that need it. Your carrier must also give you its own written notice about tracking.
4. Using the app honestly and safely
- Keep a valid driver's license and the qualifications your carrier and the law require, and keep your profile accurate.
- Mark each stop only when you are actually there, take honest photos, and collect proof of delivery (receiver's name, signature and/or signed paperwork).
- Never fake your location, times, photos, signatures or documents, and never let anyone else use your login.
- Safety first: don't use the app by hand while driving; pull over safely first. Obey traffic and safety laws.
- At pickup, take freight only for jobs assigned to you in the app. If anyone asks you to pick up or drop off somewhere not in the app, check with your carrier and ShippApp first.
- Treat shippers, receivers and their property with respect. Report delays, damage or problems in the app.
5. Customers stay with ShippApp
While you use ShippApp and for 24 months after your last job or activity, you will not, directly or indirectly (including through another carrier, a family member, a company you start, or another platform), offer, accept or do transportation for any shipper, receiver or other customer you met or served on ShippApp jobs outside ShippApp, offer them your own services or another company's, or encourage them to stop using ShippApp.
Example: a receiver asks for your number so they can call you directly next time. Say: "Please book through ShippApp." Don't give your number or take the job directly — even after you change carriers or start your own company.
There is no buy-out. Section 7 of the Terms applies, including liquidated damages for each customer of the greater of $5,000 or 35% of the gross freight revenue from that customer outside ShippApp during the restricted period, plus an injunction, attorneys' fees and costs. Your carrier is responsible to ShippApp for your breach too.
6. Confidentiality
Customer names, contacts, addresses, gate codes, rates and documents you see are confidential. Use them only to finish your ShippApp jobs. Don't copy, screenshot for other use, share or keep them.
7. If you leave
If you leave your carrier or stop using ShippApp, Sections 5 and 6 still apply for the time stated.
